After talking with several BETA Testers the first week, we have decided to change the start age of breeding from 6 to 3. This will allow for the cats to gain happy points earlier. However, heat gain will still not start until the age of 6. But there will no longer be the 2.5 days of delay in waiting for happy to rise when the cat reaches the age of 6.

Additional animations have been added to this update: the most notable one is the ability to jump! The cat can now jump an obstacle in its path up to 1.5 m in height.

You know your kitties want one! They work with cats age 2 and up.

Your cats do not nor will they eat catnip until they are set to breeding (age6). Until then your cats can use the teddy as a toy.

The first week of testing is over !  There have been some minor and one major change to the cats over the last week.  The update released to testers include the following fixes.

Major ~

Animations – Fixed keeping the cat to stay together as a whole unit. This improves fluidity in the movement of the cats.

Minor ~

Keeper – No longer is the owner allowed to set themselves to keeper. Keepers, on the other hand are allowed to have the cats they are assigned to, to follow them.

Added –

Touch response so you know when a animal has been touched and the menu is on its way.

Animations for drinking from second life water.

Teddy Bear recognition so that the cat can find and pick up and play with the teddy bear on thier own, as well as when the owner request it.

Retrieval code was added for the Magical Orb of Goodness.

Corrected the name return message from his nose to my nose so it is not gender based.

Corrected message response in keeper so that both keeper and owner get a response back.

Fixed poses in pregnancy (alphas have reported these) some bodies were out of alignment.

Fixed the sound track. We changed the number of times a cat will make a particular sound and added new ones for more variety.
The Beta Experience ~

The team has really been working hard to make it viable for the BETA Testers to undergo a cat experience as close to a finished product as possible. We have had only minor troubles reported. And we have received a lot of praises too.

Most like ~

The design of the foods and the automatic switch to breeding when the cats become of age. Then all you have to do is put out the grid-wide breeding food and catnip. Testers also praised the the pet button as an alternative of setting back to pet food.

And most just loved the way they follow in tune with the owner or the keeper’s movements: running, swimming or simply walking. The “follow” animations are a really natural and transitions from one move to another is really smooth.

The dust and water splashes have been a big hit as well.

Magic Orb Of Goodness or MOOG as we call it, is where you can retrieve any cats, lost, broken, not delivered.
HOW:
The revolving green ORB at the top of this fountain is MOOG and what you touch.

You will get a menu. From this menu you can choose;

ALL – To get all your cats (with any update you need this one).

INACTIVE – To get any cats that may have become inactive (where they and the servers have lost touch with each other).

SINGLE – To get a single cat by its ID number.

(IDs can be found in the description line of the cat or in your my Wild Kingdom page of your cats.)
The cat or cats, will deliver to you automatically once you have made your selection of one or all.

Sacks (Baby Cats not yet Birthed) are currently not available for recovery, so treat these precious little cats with care.
**NOTE: Rez one cat box (what is delivered from MOOG) count to ten and you can then rez another.

The HAPPY TEDDY is reaching the final stages of testing before going out to the Beta testers. This is a individual happy item to keep your cats purring and their heat rising.   Happy Teddys will be in our stores soon.  They can be used at age 2 but they don’t need catnip till age 6.

BETA is going along really well, we have had only minor issues at this point. Most have been addressed and worked out.

A lot of you have been asking about HAPPY TEDDY. This is right on track for release by the time your cats are old enough to use it (6 or older). Just has minor alignments to fix. This is a separate prim that your cats will be able to play with from time to time (whenever you let them). They will play with it for a length of time that varies and unlike my kids, they will bring TEDDY back to their home spot so they or you don’t lose it.  Really is an adorable and a must have object.

This is the most perfect  & enjoyable breedable (so far) i have ever beta tested (and i have tested very many). Would like congratulate the team!!!  – KD

Well the Beta testing has begun and with only a few hiccups in the Kiosk but the folks were really nice about being patient and working with us to get the issues sorted.  So far no problems were report with the cats themselves.  The little critters are so adorable and few have sent in images already. Very rewarding to see how you like them.
