The WK Winter Festival opens today, December 8th. Realsom kicks things off at noon with some great live music. You can skate, dance or check-out all the exhibitor displays or just hang with friends. It promises to be a great time.

Those of you that have signed up to be apart of the winter festival your invited at this time to bring over you builds and place them on your sim and get any final tweaks in place before the official opening in 3 days.

Those that have already started its been a joy to get a sneak peak at what you have done so far.

The stores at the Festival are set upland have new toys in them the animals need an update to use some of them which we are in the process of finishing up.

We all know that having rare traits in your pride adds value and makes the cats you sell more desirable. While it is great to unlock a new fur by achieving a new level, we know those are not destined to stay rare for a long time. But, what if you could breed for an exclusive fur, one that will never show up randomly? Well, you can and some of you already are.

A few months ago, and at the request of breeders, we at WK made sweeping changes to the way furs, levels, breeds and species work that made it possible to truly breed for a specific fur. Along with that, we have been releasing a new line of Sanctuary cats that will pass an exclusive fur that only comes from those cats. Additionally we released the Cecil’s Pride Tribute cat with an exclusive fur that will pass. And, there is more to come. We all want something rare, that will stay rare and THIS is the way to get it. Breeding for these exclusive furs is not easy but that is the point. If it is easy, it will not stay rare for long. However, it is very possible and some of you are already having success.

It is important to remember that furs no longer have levels. Once you have these exclusive furs in your pride they are free to move up and down the levels. You can achieve higher levels by breeding them with higher-level cats of the SAME BREED…not species. Other breeds, or even species, can add traits but levels are tied to the breed and not the species. Breeding a low-level cat with a higher-level cat of a different breed, even if it’s the same species, will not help increase its levels.

Breeding for exclusive furs gives you that rare trait that all breeders seek, giving their pride an edge.

It’s that time of year when you start to think of present and gift giving. What better way to decorate your sim then with camouflage food items as presents.  We have two sets one for your Big Cats and one for the Wild Dogs.  Available at all WK Store locations.

Just in time for the US holiday of Thanksgiving we have for you this adorable Turkey.  He will hop around your sim trying to survive the holiday. He is a must have for your WK Animals. On sale at both the main sims.

It is that time of year again when the Toys for Tots festival takes place.  The festival will run from today the 21st through the 29th.  There are two full sims full of offerings from various companies.

This year we have a very special Big Bear on sale.

A handful of the Christmas Items are out at either of those location for those of you who would like to get a early start on your Christmas fun.

It has come to our attention that some are spreading a rumor that is simply not true.

Sacks do not now, nor will they in the future, require feeding.

Sanctuary Boosters

After much consideration and debate, we at WK have decided changes were in order regarding the ability to purchase some of the boosters with Sanctuary Points. Effective immediately, the WK Love Potion, WK Pregnancy Vitamins and WK C-Section Blanket for both Big Cats and Wild Dogs are no longer available for Sanctuary Points. They are still available for purchase with L$.

While we realize that larger SPV balance holders will always have an advantage, we do not want to add to that advantage. We feel this is a very positive change for all breeders and the secondary markets.

Sanctuary Points will continue to be important as we come up with new and better toys and animals for you to spend them on. Steps One was the release of the two new Sanctuary Jaguars with exclusive furs that ONLY come from those two cats and here are the next two with exclusive furs for you to breed:

2 New Sanctuary Cats

We have two exciting new Sanctuary cats for our breeders.
First is the new Sanctuary Southern States cougar. This 35 trait beauty has Extra Large scale, Jeweled Sanctuary Diamond eyes, Crooked Tooth and Super Long Whiskers. Perhaps the most exciting thing is another new and exclusive fur, Wheat, that can pass but with a different nose.

Second is a new Sanctuary South African Cheetah. This beautiful cheetah has 31 traits including, Mini scale, Jeweled Sanctuary Sapphire eyes, Stubby Tail, Prehistoric Teeth and Extra Long Whiskers. This amazing cheetah features the new and exclusive Bela Bela fur than can pass with a different nose.

These Exclusive furs are a must have for any cougar or cheetah breeder.

Our original Sanctuary cougar and Sanctuary cheetah will be available until the end of the month and will then be retired. Please be very CAREFUL when selecting your cat from the vendor as there are two Cheetahs and two Cougars. The New Cats are listed as WK S. Cheetah-S. African and WK S. Cougar-S.State.

Breeding tip: Furs are no longer tied to level. Levels are tied to BREED and not species.

Winter Festival booth sign ups are now closed. A very special thank you to all that have chosen to participate. We are truly overwhelmed by the amazing response we have gotten from everyone. With all your support this is going to be an amazing, fun and successful event.

With the Winter Festival just a few more weeks away we need a head count of the breeders that wish to participate.

To reserve one of these booths IM Queenfelinea between 8am and 8pm SLT on November 11th thats TODAY ONLY with the phrase: “Over the river and through the woods, to WK house we go!” to reserve your booth. Queenfelinea will respond back “The Cats know the way to pull the Sleigh and the Dogs will bark as we go.” This is your confirmation that the request has been received. At that time send a Full perm company logo to Queenfelinea.

Booth selection will be by WK and Queenfelinea will return a display kit with all the information for you to get started on your build, a prim to show the area size and a note card with the remaining rules. A map to show the location will be on the blog.

Booths are limited to one per household. Trying to circumvent this rule could lead to loss of all booth privileges at the festival.
