The cheetahs are coming along nicely, SL has a planned major update for the 9th if all goes well after the update we will be letting the Cheetahs run. As the fastest land animal we have changed the way they run to pay tribute to there speed. The cheetahs unlike our other cats have some new poses.

Many have laughed at what we have called our furs and to be honest that is just fine with us this company is all about having fun. We are glad your able to fine humor in out name choices.

Our cats are a bit different in the way they eat then other animals in Second Life (SL) they are not grazers that need to eat there food slowly over the entire day. They eat their food twice a day like meals making it much easier for you to calculate how much food your going to need.  2 portions a day times the number of cats you have times the number of days until you need to refill it.

Now it is a bit confusing on our food bowl in one manner is that the food can ONLY feed your own cats. Our food does have a option to set it to group and to everyone or to owner and this is not meaning to feed but to buy.  The reason our food does not feed group or everyone is because of the fact the food is grid wide. you don’t need to have food out to be able to feed your cats their portion. The grid wide factor does make it so that each owner has to have there OWN FOOD Bowls for their cats.  In order to assist the people who wanted to be able to buy food for a friend or partners cats is we have allowed the pay option to be open.

Once again all owners need their own food bowls and catnip. They can be refilled by the owner, group or everyone depending on how it is set up.

Please don’t be surprised if your cats eat the food in your inventory they are very smart and they will find it.

The way we have chosen to celebrate the holiday is with a Limited Edition Toy Set. We have also come up with a Toy Chest for you to try to store your toys but your cats do pull them out and are not so good at putting them back. Like all lovable children they are only so good at picking up their toys. The items can be purchased separately or you can buy the whole set at a discount.

Canada celebrates their independence today July 1 so we put together a set just for them. If your from out side the US and have a holiday you would like to have a set of toys made for or think the group would like a special day set let us know drop us a note.

The Toy sets will be available at Crystal Ridge and at Canadian Country stop by sometime during the week.  Please note that the large bear does need to be laid down on his side to fit into the Toy Chest.

MOOG ~ Will have your updates for you. If your not sure what a MOOG is it is the Magical Orb of Goodness that we all love and adore and will give us fresh copies of your cats.

One of the biggest changes in this update is the introduction of the Sleep Stat. The Sleep Stat is located right under the food stat and will go up and down through out the day as a indicator of when the cat may sleep or wake up. When the cat gets to 0 it will take a catnap from anywhere to 22 to 45 minutes. As for how soon they will run out of steam and need to nap there are many factors that go into that and is best to think of mimicking real life and what goes into needing a nap, the more active you are you may get tired more easily the older you get you may not feel like you can do as much.

Other things that have been sorted out are the minor issues such as thinking you mated the wrong sex where it was only on the sl side that has you thinking this.

Sync Button not eating URL’s for your sim.

If you thought our cats were cute before you will find them absolutely adorable now, we finally figured out that the Ears were now showing you the different styles. This is fixed and Ears will show the proper style now.

There are other little things that we have done in anticipation for new features but will not spill the beans on those just yet.

Care and Feeding of your WK Big Cats

With proper care and feeding your WK Wild Kingdom cats will live a very long time. However it is possible an animal may die due to owner neglect. Animals will only eat their owners food and the food type they are set to.

If an animal is set to breeding food but no breeding food is available, the animals hunger will increase by 10 points a feeding or 20 points a day. The same is true if your animal is on pet food. If an animal begins to get hungry, its hover text will turn yellow. This is the first clue an animal is becoming distressed (version 1.1.92 or higher). If the food type becomes available the animal will begin to recover on its own.

If an animal reaches 100 hunger it’s hover text will turn red (all versions) and the animal will become sick. The animal will no longer eat even if food becomes available. Once an animal becomes sick it’s hunger will increase by 1 point a feeding or 2 points a day. The owner will have 30 days to heal the animal or the animal will be sent to the great sanctuary in cyberspace and will no longer be recoverable. No sanctuary points will be earned for neglected animals.

Healing Cream bowls are available at all WK Wild Kingdom store locations to heal sick animals.

It is a must see in person. The cats love them they do need to be reset from time to time but that is a simple click on the tree.

We would like to honor all the Papa’s out there in the cat world we know that there are many of you. As we had done for the Mamas there is a Limited Edition Large Scale Toy Bear for your cats to play with.

The Stuffy Pig is a new toy to keep your kitties entertained, similar in fashion to that of the Fluffy Bunny the Stuffy Pig is a bright colorful toy that attracts your cats. In testing it is with in minutes of setting them out that your cats race over to be the first to play with the new toy.

The RFL Relay For Life is a wonderful charity that is very well supported here in Second Life, but we are just over whelmed with how generous you all have been. Out Limited Edition Tiger sold 646,000 Lindens worth we are told.
