The Spirit of the Tiger: Myth, Magic & WK’s Gift for SL Birthday

At this year’s Second Life Birthday celebration, we honor more than just the platform’s legacy—we celebrate the stories that connect us across time and cultures. One such story is the Nakhi myth of the tiger, an ancient legend from the Nakhi people of southwestern China. Also to bring that spirit to life, WK Wild Kajaera is proud to present a very special gift: the Tiger of Nakhi, inspired by this powerful tale.

You can find our version of this tiger at the Tapestry of Time Gift area.

IF you would like to get your tiger any toys or to see the other amazing animals that WK produces stop by the Toy Center.

This cat will be available until July 20, 2025 so get them while you can.

BC Sanctuary Gets New Cats

The Big Cat Sanctuary is under revamp first focus was putting out new cats. Which to choose there are so many and which breed to do we could not decide on just one.

First up we have a beautiful Snow Leopard this Leopard has parents that have existing furs but with new nose version on the parents of the Exclusive Fur Snow leopard. New EYE colors on the parents and the animal.

Next up we have the Jaguar from the US, the Amur Tiger and the African Cheetah all with 3 new furs and 3 new eyes.

As if that was not enough we came up with a NEW BREED for the Lynx, Cougars and Lions. You may think you are seeing double as they do look similar to some of the other species but we are sure you will absolutely love what they are and what they will produce.

Big Cat Update 4.4.2

Big Cat Update to 4.4.2

This is an update that fixes –

  • Freezing issues in Wildcats
  • Keeper not showing in Low Prim
  • Adds SL Experience to the avatar animations – WK Experience MUST be enabled on the LAND
  • Improve Memory use to use less
  • Updater Improvement to use Range Say works best, Shout works good, Region not so good.

SL Experience – this is a really nice improvement Second Life (SL) has made with less clicks to make your world flows more naturally. It does need to be enabled in the land. To enable it grab an estate manager or owner as they are the ones that can do it. If you happen to be an estate manager or owner simple go to the about land and experience tab and choose Add, use WK Experience to search and select the one Owned by Queenfelinea. Once you have that added the animals will only ask you once from one animal if its ok to use this experience. All other animals will hear the answer and listen to the request. If the land does not have the WK Experience enabled they will use the existing way to animate.

WK BigCat Hangout Tree

Now the Big Cat Hangout tree has been around for awhile, it still is a marvel in all its glory as it is the biggest of the trees currently offered that the WK Big Cats can climb on their own or be sent to climb using the Climb Tree button in the menu.

The tree is sold by Lilith Heart of Heart to Heart Landscaping. You can purchase it from them via the SL Market place for the Spring/Summer you can also get the tree in a Autumn and a Winter. The Spring/Summer tree can be seen on the WKU or Crystal River stores as well. They are sold for 899Ls and you get two copies of the tree. The tree is 27 prims and a wonderfully large tree.

Now even though the tree was originally designed for the WK Big Cats it seems that are Little Varmint – Ferrets like it just as well and they can scurry up the tree and take advantage of the 3 different sleeping spots that the tree has to offer.

The Hang Out tree should have two scripts in the content tab of the edit window in version 1.6 if your tree does not have these updated scripts the tree may not work as expected contact a CSR in the support group for assistance in getting the scripts.
