A.-sizes may also be added as new breeds to a spices come in to vary the sizes

Q So basic runt is mini for tiger then

A. No, there is a runt for the tiger, there is a mini for the tiger
so regular size , mini, and runt, sizes may also be added as new breeds to a spices come in to vary the sizes

A-Minis can happen on a second cub

Q-Ok, is there going be some chart to look this up, sizes?

A-Charts will come but they take out all the surprises
its like telling you whats in that present you just were handed

Q- what about the fur levels for tigers?

Q-Are you asking about the fur charts to see what the furs look like, and eyes?

A- we are working on them , wont be long, we got really busy with the hunt and the web so ,, its a coming
Fur levels are taken from Grandparents and parents and then the current level of the parents and anything that might be on it
so if mom is a level 3 all level 3 furs are added to the mix

A- yes, but you say, how do I look it up?

A – yes you do, you have two cats, they have stats and parents stats. The parent stats become grandparent stats when they go to make a baby. The baby to come has the parents and the grandparents, it is the future cubs grandparents

Q- Will there be like a pedigree for us to see these grandparents?

A- yes Random is working on it

Q- is there a way to get more that 1 sack in a litter ? I mean I sit with them all the time

A-Regarding how to make the more multi births, is the multi birth not happening enough currently it is a 3 in 10 chance that a litter of 2 will happen

Q-what is the chance of a triplet?

A-Rarest at 1 in 50

Q – is it possible the Cats will have broken teeth ?

A – Yes, The sanctuary cat has it

Q – I am new What is sanctuary?

A – Sanctuary is a reward system that is put in place to keep the market balanced. It is a known fact that we don’t always gets the cub we want. The markets can only pair so much before breeders get frustrated and don’t know what to do. By sending an animal off to WK Sanctuary your able to earn points, which we will call SPV. The SPV points can be uses on items ranging to toys for your cats boosters or Sanctuary animal

A – We tried to make the sanctuary items as varied and helpful and the sanctuary cat does pass some great traits just not the fur

Q – Can you ride the Cats?
A -The Tigers can be ridden at age 10, by right clicking the animal and select ride

Q -Do you think the jaguars and cougars should be ridable?

A – i think it would be a desirable trait if it were made rare
they are a lot smaller

I have a runt tiger and its the size of a jag and doesn’t look all that silly

But some of the smaller avatars might like to ride them, children and tinies
as a option it just broadens the marketability it isn’t that every one will ride them

Q -Question about – Sanctuary Cat – It will take aprox 250 average cats to get one? and what will pass on from them to others.

A – That is the only way to get the eye and teeth. No linden amount is associated with the sanctuary cat

Q – pass for sure or random chance to pass?

A – The sanctuary cat has mom dad and grandparents too so not a for sure on passing each time.

Q – Is there a point system for them ?

A – If you want to know what spv ( sanctuary point value ) any particular cat has, go to your dashboard

Q – Is there a place we can see all items available for SVP ?

A – There are two locations for Sanctuary vendors. One is at the main WK sim in Crystal river to the right of the store. The second is at the WK 2 sim located a few M’s to the left of the store.

Q – Looking at what is in sanctuary and what breeders are doing it is approximately 300 cats, isnt that still a lot of cats?
A – It might seem so, however the object is to keep the Sanctuary cat limited. There are also a lot of great toys and boosters in the Sanctuary vendor.

Q – Is the age a large factor in higher SVP ?

A – Yes you’re caring for the animal, we reward you for the care
Sanctuary points are figured out based on the animals age and traits that is has.The older a cat it is the more of a reward it will bring. Other traits have a bonus built in for having them regardless of the level.

Q – Why would anyone sanctuary a high level cat?

A – They do run out of breeding cycles, sanctuary rewards you and them,
so yes i can see a level 5 cat being sent to sanctuary.

Q – So a 91 day old cat is old then?

A – Doesn’t go by age by how many litters it can still produce. Each cat can produce 10 litters. You can breed them one after another, or you can not breed for awhile then decide to breed again later. WK cats do not get too old to breed.

Many people have been wondering what is a trait and what does not count for a trait. We have made this information to guide you, that said be aware of the buyers delight as well. This means buyers have favorites, these will always have more value.

Remember each fur level up, opens up new traits and eyes.

Gender ~ This would only count for more value if one gender were harder to get.
Species ~ does not count for a trait.
Breed ~ does not count for a trait.
Scale ~ counts for traits.

• A Normal is 0 traits
• A Mini is 1 traits
• A Runt is 2 traits

Fur ~ This goes by fur level.

• Fur level 1 ~ 0 trait.
• Fur level 2 through 5 is ~ 1 trait.
• Fur level 6 through 10 is~ 2 traits
• Fur level 11 through 15 is~ 3 traits
• Fur level 16 through 20 is~ 4 traits
• Fur level 21 through 25 is~ 5 traits
• Fur level 26 through 30 is~ 6 traits

Eye ~ We will address eyes, firstly the rarity chart is to show you what % is on the grid at any given time. This means a particular eye which is very low in % on the grid is rare, gets no trait but is a value point for pricing.

• Right and left eyes match ~ 0 traits.
• Right eye and left eye don’t match~ 1 trait.
• Eyes from a different species ~ 1 trait.

Ears ~ Any ear that is a low % on the grid ~ again not an actual trait but has value.

• Left ear and right ear match ~ 0 traits
• Left ear and right ear don’t match is ~ 1 trait

Tail ~

• Normal ~ 0 traits
• Short ~ 1 trait
• Long ~ 1 trait

Teeth ~

The First Limited Edition ~ 

The first of the WK Sanctuary animals will be a Jaguar, being that was the first of our cats to come out.  The furs is restricted it will not pass to its offspring.  The other traits that come with the cat however can.

How are points figure ~

Sanctuary points are calculated based on the animals age and traits that is has. The older a cat it is the more of a reward it will bring.  Other traits have a bonus built in for having them regardless of the level. If a cat is level 1 but has super long whiskers it may be worth more then a higher level fur  because of that special trait.

If you want to be able to see what a cat is worth we have a SPV calculator on your dashboard of the Portal area so you don’t have to look over charts and try to figure out what it is worth.  This number will change of course if you have been feeding the cat meaning it is age.  As the cat ages it gains points.

Today the Safari Hunt gets under way and this is a very exciting hunt for us. The hunt is put on by us to feature all the amazing markets and store locations that have set up around the Second Life world.  We have winter, beach, hut, ruins, downtown themed and many more for you to wander around and find the your prizes.  Prizes maybe easy to find some may be hard to find some gifts are put out by our sponsors but most have been put out by WK. We have small prizes to big prizes to make it worth your while for paying your entry fee.  In the Hunt your looking for a small paw print in various colors.  You may find some non touchable ones out there but the touching ones will give you a prize.  If you have a problem with a paw print feel free to ask in our group or to contact the hunt admin through the IM admin button.  Jaed is out hunting expert she will be in group today to help you all out but being your probably not the first person with the question don’t feel shy ask away.

In addition to the hunt starting we are also bringing out a new toy for the cats  WK Funky Fish

The WK Funky  work in sl water or our prim water.  You simply rezz them over the water and set there range and turn them on they will dive under the water and swim around .  Our cats can be asked to fish which they will do about 50% of the time when asked or they will detect them on there own. The fish will let any cats fish them and then jump back in to the water to be fished again so you have no dead fish to clean up off your shores.  Would like to thank Mac Bongo for sending in these pictures.

The tigers are officially out and roaming around on the grid. It was a great release day. Yes, we had a minor glitch on the vendor but we were able to get everyone sorted as quickly as possible. Thank you all who had a delay in delivery.

The Tiger Breed that was released was the Amur or Siberian, these tigers can be found in the real world in a very small population in Russia. They are the largest of all the Cat Spices and we have done the best of our ability to make it look and sound and move much like they would in the real world.

Cats in crates were going out to breeders just as fast as they could possibly buy them. The greatest part is the surprise that people have when they realize that our cats that come from the vendors have Parents and Grandparents. We have taken the time to give them history there were several WOW surprises. A few of the Tigers that were born yesterday had these traits; pre historic teeth, fang teeth, long or extra long whiskers, the ears varied as well and of course the furs. The furs ranged from Level 1 – Level 3. Many have asked about the whites and yes the whites are on out there. Two of the grandparents have the white furs and in most of our tests we found a 1 in 5 chance of getting a white.

There are many fun things to do with the cats, like the cats before the tigers. Swimming is high on the cats list of amusement. They love to lounge around,or climb trees just to hang out. They are constantly on the move and seldom hold still once there legs get the strength to move. We know that first day is a long one watching them build up there muscles and figure out what life has to offer. Soon enough however they are off and running.

Testing is in the final stages, just a few little quirks to get adjusted. These kitties are really happy and excited about all the new places in Second Life that they will be able to explore.

Feature Release: WK Rarity Calculator

Today we released a new feature on MyWildKingdom.com, the WK Rarity Calculator. We know this is a feature you have all been waiting for and we thank you for your patience.

The WK Rarity Calculator can be found on your Dashboard in the MyWildKingdom.com portal.

Simply enter the ID of any valid animal into the calculator and instantly get percentage values for the Species and Breed as well as all the other traits for that animal. This information can be used to quickly identify animals that common or rare overall or for any particular trait.

We all know that updating is a important part of keeping things working smoothly.  That is why when Microsoft and Apple send out updates we do them or at least we try to keep up with them.  Our cat software is no different.  As new features are added and defects fixed there is the need to update your animals.  We are looking into ways of making this easier. Some have asked for a bulk updater similar to that of another breedable company (this is still in the works at this time) and we are looking at maybe more of a auto rezzer. What we have come up with and we think you will all like is the webMOOG which can be found in the Portal.

The Portal you say whats that? Where can I find it?  Who knew there was a portal?

Most of you are aware that there is a log in section to our main website mywildkingdom.com. This is how you access your portal. How do you log in? Or what do you do if you forgot your password.  Both are the same answer. Go to any of the store locations and click the “Register for My Portal”.It will give you your user name and password if you have already registered or it will register you and give you a user name and password so you can log in.

Once inside the portal you come to your dashboard. On the right side the top vertical buttons are webMOOG~Animals and webMOOG~Sacks. Each are fairly self explanatory when you click on them.

You can have your cats or sacks sent to you in world if you are offline or on. Remember sl deliver and items getting capped so it might be a good idea to make sure your online. Any items asked to be sent get marked as inactive until you rezz out the new item.

Our cats are wonderful creature that seem to move about Second Life(SL) with out much direction. They can and will do many different things on their own.  It is hard to understand then why when you log in to your dash board at times you find that your cats are market as inactive.  Yet, you see them moving about SL just fine.

How did this happen? What cause this? and Why can’t it be stopped?  

Well these are all very good questions. When our engines from the server go through and make the calculation of who is eating what, who is aging, who is ready to deliver and so on updating on the data base side it runs along smoothly. There is no hesitation in the communication of the process.  It is when the process has to reach out to SL (now we ALL love SL and understand it has its little quirks and we accept them for being SL)  sometimes the URL that SL has given your animal is no longer available.  All SL tells us is 404 Error.  That is a broad error and simply stated it just means the url or address your looking for is not there.  We know that the animal is there we can see it moving about, so how can SL say its not there.

Since the 404 is a flag saying there is a problem that we can’t find the animal where it was last left we mark the animal is inactive. It could be that the animal is in your inventory or it could be that SL is playing up. It could be the sim is offline at the moment we try to communicate. There can be lag on the sim and with any communication. We have all see chat lag that the attempt to communicate and get a message back from the animal saying “yes, I am here“ doesn’t happen in the allotted period of time.

Our Engines are spaced out through out the day and at different times so that we can try to communicate with them at various points of the day. If they do get marked inactive it just means the url we were given for the animal is no longer there. Since, the animal did not get the update we were trying to send it is why when you re rezz it you will see changes in the stats.

The Reconnect Button only sends us a current URL does not update stats.  They will get updated the next time a animal gets the communication from the server. We do have a feature request to change this to a Synch Button so that it will not only reconnect the url but it will get back updated stats.

Too cute for words

Like any proud parent taking just one picture of your new born is just not possible.  These little ones with their chubby little cheeks and weak little legs try to lift up there big heads and really seem to struggle with it making them seem very real.  Their eyes are closed for the first 12 hours so still waiting to see them open their eyes.

We are testing their animations now, but from what we are seeing they will steal your hearts, much like the cats that came before them, the Cougar and the Jaguar.

They will go through much more testing before they are ready for release, but for those that have been waiting, we are on track for meeting our goal of having the first 3 cats out by our planned release date.
