The reason for the update

~ we had gotten reports that the cats ignored them when asked to fish they will still decide when they will fish but will respond more often when asked.

~ fish stopped swimming around after a sim restart and seem not to ever come back to life.

Happy to report that these issues of uninterested and lifelessness have been fixed.

Anyone looking at this picture would think that this is a very spoiled cat but as far as the cat knows they are just very LOVED. The owner says the toys were all over the sim in moments.

We are  sorry to say that we have had to do away with passing of animals. This is sad to say that there have been a few situation where this was a issue and some were able to sell cats more then once.

To sell a cat now to get the owner ship to transfer the person must buy it using the SL buy method.

We realize that this is not so fun for some but really for the community it is much better.  The Team is here to assist you as we change over. PLEASE make sure your cats are 1.2.0 and your sacks are 1.8.1. If your mothers give you a sack that is anything else but 1.8.1 you want to update her and any sack.

With the over whelming response and the shock and the horror

We have put the code back to the way it was,  it has the added security that it is suppose just not so tight that you cant pass cats.  Not realizing how many people used the SL Marketplace to sell ads. or to give cats to there friends.

The support and love that we are getting from all of our wonderful breeders has been amazing.  The concert last night at the Speeds Big Cats Oasis was awesome and we hope that many more will join us at the rest of the events that are planned tomorrow Sunday the 7/28/2013 our actual 6 months for release date.

As we are in the middle of our celebration we have a web update for you. This is not at cat update you don’t need to do anything with your cat in the way of updating them they are already waiting for this part of the web update if you have the version 1.2.0.  For some time now we have been working on a way to list your cat for sale on the portal and make it easy for you to manage that when the cat is sold your listing is automatically removed. Sounds pretty cool? We thought so. This is a feature that as it grows and becomes more popular you will get more out of it.  It is ready for you to use the only thing it is missing at this point is YOU the User to list your cats. 

When you log into the Portal the dashboard now has 3 new buttons located on the right hand side and the ancestry  button that you all use is located on the lower left hand side.

Your 3 three new buttons are;

Search Classifieds ~ pretty clear here you can put in no preferences and search all that is listed by clicking “Search” or you can use the pull down to try to narrow your search at the beginning of course this will be pretty empty.

My Classified Ads ~ again this is pretty much what you have listed in the search area.

This area will allow you to edit the ad by double clicking on it and bringing up a edit window.

Here you can manually remove any animal from the search if you have decided not to sell it after all.  If you decide to not sell simply highlight the row and hit the trashcan it will ask you if you want to delete the record if you really want to remove the record from search hit the ok button.

Add Classified Ad ~ this is where you select an animal for listing and great the listing.

The drop down will show you everything you have sacks and cats alike. You may use the Location Notes as a Header in a notice it will be seen in the search section.  You will need to be able to open the SL map and copy the SLURL to the the TP to URL space.

WOW, its been a long time coming to this point and whilst it has only been 6 months we could not have gotten here with out the support of these first markets, Speeds Auction House,  Wild Cats Marketplace and The Ruins (in order of the concerts). They all had been with us from our short beta period as breeders and all the way through unwavering.

Speed Beorn was the first to ask for a store and put his full support behind us and our product. Holding the first auctions while still in our infancy they have grown with us.  We would like to give a big thank you to not only to Speed but to Mamichulaa as well she has stepped up and made the trait board graphics that you all may have and has helped many of our new members. They have built there market up from those first days of just stalls to know have bid boards and an auction. Truly remarkable people and we are grateful to them for their belief in us. Wild Cats Marketplace is owned by Meagy and we have had the joy of watching this little market grow from a 1/4 sim to a 1/2 sim then finally to a full sim. Meagy has her self been a breeder from day one of beta jumping in with both feet and falling in love with the cats. It was with a lot of her feed back that we made adjustments to our time line going from a longer grow up period to the one we have today. She was a enthusiastic tester when it came to our adding of boosters. (Booster development has made it so that you can completely customize a cats time line.) Today we believe she is the president of the BACA support group.  All fun aside we are grateful for the faith and support that she has given us. We love to celebrate with the music so stop by and join us with the show and Rockshoppes tribute to FOO Fighters

The Ruins owned and operated by Bret and Marnie Gearhead as well as Za rious Lee soon followed suit with creating a beautiful sim where the cats took up a large portion of the sim. It soon became evident to them that they would be in need of more room for the cats and moved to a full sim with an auction house area.  They have been a joy to work with as well and have truly been supportive. We hope you will join us for the ending party at the concert held at there sim our Own Random Nirvana will be in the band we will send out notices the day of but it will be NIckleback on stage a must see show.

To all the breeders that have started with us in beta to all the breeders who have joined us along the way we are grateful to you all. We have a great hunt planned for you as away of saying thanks it is full of boosters and cat supplies.  You wont be disappointed.

We are fast approaching our 6 months bench mark of being in business here in Second Life.  It has been so much fun and we have such a great group of breeders we wanted to have a party.  Having a party in SL is not always easy because which time zone do you pick after all we have breeders from all over the world playing with our cats. So we decided to have a HUNT instead. The hunt will start the 26th and being that one of our Breeders is the Owner of Rockshoppe Tribute Bands we have them helping us celebrate with some great music. The first of 3 shows will be at our very first market they have been with us even going back to beta and we are truly grateful to there support. Speed’s Big Cat Oasis.

The fun doesn’t stop there on Monday night we are off to Meagy’s sim for a another great concert with Rockshoppe and their tribute to Foo Fighters.  If you look closely on stage you just might see Random up on stage as the bass guitarist.

The hunt we hope will take you several days to complete but you should enjoy the hunt. We tried to make it challenging with out making it too frustrating a hard balance but we hope you enjoy all the rewards.

The Hunt will wrap up with a Nickleback concert once again performed by the folks at Rockshoppe on stage you will find once again our own Random Nirvana portraying Mike Kroeger.

As many of you know the way new breeds of a cat happen is that they come in through the existing cats. Much like they would in real life as animals moved around the world they became known for that part of the world.

Sumatran Tigers are tigers that inhabits the Indonesian island of Sumatra. In the wild there are very few of these animals left we pay tribute to them by bringing them to Second Life.

Over the last few days we have noticed and it has been brought to our attention that the AD and Auction Group is getting abused. As with all breedables this has been the case but we would like to take a moment and ask ALL Companies and individuals to look at what your doing if you are indeed abusing the group.

If you advertise any event too much people stop paying attention and actually get annoyed at you and won’t attend, just because they stopped reading what you had to say. In order for the group to be effective and for people to not tune it out, the rules have been adjusted for the WK Wild Kingdom Ad and Auction group to be as follows.

NO More then 2 ads for any event in that day. So if Suzie is advertising for the Auction at 6 at a certain location and Johnny is also advertising for that location they can have 1 ad each for that said event. They can use the other 3 ads they each have to advertise other things about the market but to assure that they are NOT BOTS which are not allowed, they should be different ads this will do 2 things for the market it will showcase other great things about the market. As well as if there is any stalls available or any wonderful cats on sale with in the market.

Please try to remember we are all here to have fun and to grow remember the community is expanding daily.

This is not hard and fast this recommended we don’t have time to sit around counting ads or looking for bots. We do however feel the need to say something when members of the group come to us and ask us to help control the abuse. All we are doing here is trying to respect the wishes of the end users your clients.

Note on BOTs: if the Bot respects the rules then we have no way of really know it is a bot or not.

Well as updates go this one we just had to 1.2.0 and 1.8.1 had one hiccup. While we don’t generally like to have these we do appreciate you all going through and updating your cats. The little hiccup that is mentioned however was the internal script that displays the number of the version that is inside the sack said 1.7.7 now this is only a cosmetic issue but it did cause enough of a issue that we felt the sack should get updated. The update was set out on Saturday the 13th however this caused further confusion and really we did not mean for it to cause the confusion but the mothers that were updated to 1.2 need to be re-updated to 1.2.0 with the new sack inside or it will keep giving you sacks that need to be update.

The 1.7.7 sack has outdated 1.2.0 cats in them, because they have the 1.2.0 cats with the 1.7.7 sack in them. So much like the chicken and the egg which one came first if in doubt update MOOG has the current scripts in them.  Do at your leisure as you go.  For those that spent the weekend updating you do not need to update again. This is for those that update only when the cheetahs came out or have yet to update.  There were 2 other script errors in the tigers that were fixed as well when trying to pet them so this is away to test if your have tigers and don’t know if you need to update.

The Cheetahs are running.

We officially released the Cheetahs on the 12th and have been over whelmed at the reception that they have received. As they turned a day old we started to hear how our owners were amazed at there speed and the way they run much different then their predecessors.

Already people are wanting to know what to expect in the way of eyes and furs. As we get the Trait chart updated in world here is a sneak peak of the furs.

As with the other cats the eyes can pass, as can the other traits the only one not passing is the fur.
